Roy Hill Campsite
Description
Savage Surveying were the Project Surveyors for Wormall Civil, for the construction of a permanent camp at Roy Hill with capacity for 2000 people. The camp village will ultimately boast almost 2000 rooms, domestic facilities, shift change areas and administration centres. It will also comprise sporting facilities in a central entertainment precinct including a gymnasium, auditorium, cricket pitch, swimming pool, beach volleyball court, barbeques and landscaped areas.

Rapid Growth Project 5 (RGP5) Rail Project
Description
Supply of surveying services for 14 months to the main surveying contractor McMullen Nolan and Partners for the construction of the Rapid Growth Project 5 (RGP5) Railway Line. The project scope included the duplication of 220km of the existing heavy haul rail line between Port Hedland and Shaw Siding.

Project Title
Gascoyne River Bridge, Carnarvon
Description
Provided all required survey to complete the construction of the steel beam and concrete pillar bridge. The bridge was over 200m in length with 9 x 9m piers carrying steel beams and reinforced concrete deck. This bridge was unique in that as the sections were built they were adjusted up and down depending on their relationship to the pier, so when the bridge was loaded, correct levels were obtained.

Description
Construction of a 160 tonne mobile crane and wire handling facilities.

Vertu Private Estate, Forrestdale
Description
Covering 53.8 hectares, the now complete Vertu Private Estate contains 588 lots. The site required over 1 metre of fill across the entire job with preservation of natural waterways and vegetation a high priority.

Yandicoogina Rail Bridge and Area C Processing Plant Construction
Description
Project surveyors for this construction which consisted of survey on 40m high concrete pier rail bridge and large iron ore processing plant. This job required the installation of prisms and marks on a 40m high vertical cliff to allow for monitoring of rock movement for safety. A Leica 1100 total station with laser was utilised to record positions of the rock face directly to show any movement.

South Beach Village, Fremantle
Description
South of Fremantle CBD, this unique subdivision comprises of townhouse lots and landscape design to integrate with the current Fremantle flavour. This subdivision required a large amount of remedial work to be undertaken as the site was previously a foundry and rubbish tip. Extra earthworks surveying was needed to separate contaminated materials on this site, requiring almost one hundred volume surveys. Savage Surveying worked in sync with the contractor Wormall Civil in order to best achieve the required outcome in terms of this environmentally sustainable design.
